Conor McGregor has extended his lead as the highest-earning sportsperson on Instagram despite not fighting for more than two-and-a-half years.

The former UFC champion can charge up to €137,900 per sponsored post, a study conducted by sports betting site Tonybet has found. A similar study published last year found the Crumlin fighter earned €111,495 per post.

‘The Notorious’ now has 47.2m followers on the Meta-owned image-sharing platform where he posts clips from his MMA career, photos of his family and promotes his alcohol brand Forged Irish Stout.

Earning some €110,000 less per post in second place is WWE wrestler Becky Lynch, who similarly posts family pictures and promotes her book titled The Man to her 5.8m followers.
