Late Late Toy Show Edges Out Rugby In Most-Watched TV Ranking (BUT do look at the Sports trend. Live TV is becoming Sports led)

The top 50 Irish TV programmes viewed by the public in 2023 have been detailed by TV Audience Measurement Ireland (TAM) and Nielsen Media.
The Late Late Toy Show topped the ranking, with Patrick Kielty’s debit as host exceeding the audience for the show in 2022.
With an average watchtime of 2hrs 32mins per day, broadcast television remains a key part of an Irish adult’s routine, according to TAM, with 84% of daily viewing consumed live.
TAM said that that 62% of daily viewing is still of broadcast TV, with 10% going to streaming services and a further 18% with video sharing platforms such as YouTube and TikTok.
Advertising on broadcast television still holds its merits, with over 39 billion impacts from advertisers to Irish viewers over the course of 2023. Irish-made content was top of the class, with 49 of the top 50 programmes being domestically produced.
